Cannon Beach and Hug Point Engagement Photo Shoot at Sunset

This engagement session at Cannon Beach in Oregon is definitely one of my all time favorite sessions I’ve ever done. Laine and Kenneth won my Oregon giveaway for a photo shoot and I am SO glad they did! They were incredibly sweet and up for all my crazy posing prompts. If you have ever done a photo shoot with me, you probably know I don’t like to only stick with traditional poses. I’ll have you running, bumping hips. spinning, and getting lots of movement in the photos. It’s so much fun!

The weather on this day was unusually warm for the time of year in Oregon, however, as soon as we got to Cannon Beach, the temperature DROPPED. Dodging all the tourists and families, we managed to get the perfect spot in front of Haystack Rock. I’d been dreaming of taking these photos for a while and am so happy with how they turned out! The sunlight peeking out around Haystack Rock was just perfect for this engagement session. After Cannon Beach, we drove a few minutes over to Hug Point for sunset photos near the waterfall and cave. There was only a trickle of water at the waterfall but it was still so beautiful. As the sunset, a thick “wave” of sea fog came rolling in from the ocean. You’ll see in the photos it was a pretty amazing sight! Also keep scrolling to see the cute seagulls that popped into the photos.
