An Elegant Union Station Wedding in Kansas City
Whitney and Jordan had an intimate wedding at Union Station here in Kansas City. In the morning, Whitney got ready at The Ambassador Hotel with her baby, her mom, and sister. There was a lot of excitement in the air all throughout the morning. Whitney had her hair and makeup done by Lovely Beauty, KC and put on her beautiful dress from Urban Bridal. I loved getting to photograph all the details. One of my favorite moments was when Whitney read her handwritten vows.
We left for Union Station and Whitney and her dad had a sweet first look up in the Union Station balcony right before the ceremony. Whitney’s dad had so much emotion seeing his daughter and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Getting to document moments like this is what makes my job so worth it! The guests consisted of Whitney and Jordan’s closest family and the ceremony was short and sweet. They had reserved the Jarvis Hunt Room at Union Station and it was the perfect size.
Jarvis Hunt Room at Union Station
It was so cold outside on Whitney and Jordan’s wedding day so we stayed inside Union Station for most of their portraits. All the family portraits were taken inside the Jarvis Hunt Room. We went up to the balcony for most of their couples portraits. We did brave the cold for just a few wedding photos right before Whitney and Jordan headed back inside for the reception.
The Jarvis Hunt Room was flipped in between the ceremony and reception and Brancato’s Catering provided a delicious dinner for all of the guests. Whitney’s dad gave the most heartfelt toast and I was able to photograph all the first dances before I headed out for the evening. It was such a beautiful wedding at Union Station.
