Loose Mansion Wedding | Brooke & Gary

This wedding was extra special to me because Brooke is a friend I’ve known since high school. We were on the homeschool robotics team together and also went to UMKC at the same time. I’m always so honored whenever a friend asks me to document their special day. It truly means so much to me!

Brooke and Gary put a lot of thought and heart into every detail of their wedding. The decor was elegant and timeless, allowing their love to take center stage. I loved the beautiful lavender color that they chose for the bridesmaids dresses. Brooke’s wedding dress had an amazing cape that went so well with the whole vibe of the historic venue.

Brooke and Gary exchanged vows that were straight from the heart during their ceremony. The love and commitment they shared was so strong. As a photographer, I felt privileged to witness such special moments and capture them forever.

After the ceremony, we ventured out onto the streets near Loose Mansion for some romantic portraits. The overcast skies prevented a dramatic sunset but that didn’t stop us from creating some beautiful photos!

As the night wore on, the reception kicked off with heartfelt speeches and joyful celebrations. Brooke and Gary chose to have So Grand Polka Band from St. Louis play music when it was time for dancing and it was pretty amazing! In all my years of wedding photography, I’ve never been at a wedding with polka music! I have to say it definitely got everyone out onto the dance floor!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a photographer, it’s that weddings are about so much more than just pretty pictures. They are about capturing the genuine emotions and moments that tell the story of a couple’s love. Brooke and Gary’s wedding was a perfect example of this, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.
