On a rainy day in beautiful Big Lake, Alaska, Tori and Nick celebrated their wedding at the newly opened Susitna Brewing Co. Despite the weather, the day turned out to be nothing short of magical.

When I made plans to go to Alaska for a wedding photography retreat, I put out a post on Instagram looking for a couple who might want engagement photos. Surprisingly, Tori saw my post and the dates I’d be in Alaska worked out perfectly for me to be her photographer! It truly couldn’t have worked out better and I’m so grateful that the mysterious social media algorithm showed my post to Tori.

Tori and Nick got married at Susitna Brewing Co. which is very close to Wasilla, Alaska. The brewery had only opened a few months before their wedding date. The venue offers a spacious event area on the second floor with open balcony seating that looks down to the first level. They also have a huge deck that overlooks Big Lake.

Before their ceremony, Tori and Nick got ready at her parents cabin nearby. The energy in the room while they were getting ready was just so magical and everyone was in high spirits. I just loved all the cozy, cabin vibes that this wedding started off with.
