Why you should choose Sabino Canyon for your engagement session
While I lived in Tucson, I visited
Sabino Canyon many times to take engagement or family photos. It is definitely one of the most popular locations in Tucson for portraits and it’s easy to see why! There are plenty of iconic Saguaro cacti that can only be found in this area of the United States. The specific area I usually take clients to at Sabino Canyon is very easy to access and only take about 5 minutes to walk to from the parking lot.
If you’re looking for that classic desert background in the Sonoran desert, I believe Sabino Canyon is definitely one of the best choices in the area. The ease of access and beautiful views of the Catalina mountains is hard to beat. After photographing many couples and families here, I can definitely say it’s one of the most popular and favorite locations for photos in Tucson.
The Couple and Their Engagement Photos
One of my favorite engagement sessions I ever photographed at Sabino Canyon was with Marina and Neil. It was one of those evenings where the sky and sunlight just had that perfect, magical glow and everything was perfectly lit. I loved that they brought their little puppy to the shoot for a few photos. Marina and Neil were so sweet and obviously in love. It was truly an honor to get to capture these engagement photos for them.
Since this engagement session, I’ve been able to be Marina and Neil’s photographer two more times! Once for their wedding portraits on Mount Lemmon and another time for couples portraits at a greenhouse in Queen Creek. It’s always so much fun getting to see them and catch up. I love documenting a couples love story throughout all stages of their life. Being witness to a couples journey is one of my favorite parts about being a photographer.
Photos are so important to preserving important memories of your life’s highlights. As the years go on, photos are one of the only objects you’ll have to remember precious moments. It’s always an honor to be the one to document moments like engagements or weddings. I think about how my couples future children and grandchildren will be able to look at these images and feel transported back to the exact moment. It’s something magical.
