This Nelson Atkins Museum engagement photo shoot in Kansas City, MO was so much fun! Adrianna and Cole drove all the way from St. Louis for their engagement session. We originally had scheduled for February 12th, but then we rescheduled for the 11th when we realized that was Super Bowl Sunday.
The weather was a bit chilly but these two were super brave. I loved the outfits that Adrianna chose! Her red dress was very appropriate for the time of year – both for the Chiefs going to the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day right around the corner.
The Nelson Atkins Museum is a great place for engagement photos if you’re looking for a place in Kansas City. There’s many locations around the museum including the tree lined walkways, the lawn where the famous shuttlecock sculptures are, the reflection pool, and of course the white stone steps and pillars. It makes for a beautiful, modern background.
One thing to know about Nelson Atkins Museum parking is that the underground parking is locked up when the museum closes! So if you’re staying past opening hours for sunset, I suggest using street parking. Learned this the hard way!
